Mrs Latika D. Padalkar
After doing her B.A. in English Literature and M.A. in Political Science and History in 1964 from Pune University, she qualified for the Indian Administrative Service (I.A.S.) in the same year and was allotted to the Tamilnadu cadre.
During her career in the Indian Administrative Service she has held positions such as the District Collector, Secretary, Departments of Agriculture, Social Welfare, Industries, Administrative Reforms etc. Finally she retired voluntarily in March 2001 as Vigilance Commissioner in the rank of the Chief Secretary to the Government of Tamilnadu, to take up the assignment as a Member of the Tamilnadu Administrative Tribunal in the rank of a Judge of a High Court. She has presently settled down in Pune.
